Wine tasting used to be the largest fad, but now in Australia, craft beer tasting is growing every day. It is a continuously growing industry.

Margaret River

Margaret River is known as Western Australia’s adventure capital. People gravitate to Margaret River to enjoy:

  • Surfing
  • Hiking
  • Climbing
  • Fishing
  • Kiteboarding
  • Mountain Biking
  • Caving
  • Wine Tasting
  • Craft Beer Tasting

The Cheeky Monkey Brewery and Cidery

Half an hour north of Margaret River patrons can enjoy a different type of a tasting menu. Instead of food and wine, the Cheeky Monkey Brewery and Cidery offers five ales on a wooden paddle. Try Cheeky Monkey’s Summer Smash lager which consists of single malt and hops brew.

Beer Farm

The Beer Farm is an old dairy where the cows were once milked, and is a great craft brewery. The beer tasting bar is located in an old cowshed. The Beer Farm is now decorated with cartoonish art drawing many Perth weekenders to come and taste some great craft beers and ciders. Margaret River has become one of the densest brewery regions in Australia. This is also due to its great popularity for wine tasting.

The Nest at Two Birds Brewing

Jayne Lewis and Danielle Allen discovered the great taste of craft beer while on a road trip to the U.S. The Nest at Two Birds Brewery is located in Melbourne’s western suburbs in an old sheet-metal factory. The Nest customers can taste craft beers such as Sunset Ale and Taco Beer. The craft beer is brewed with a hint of cilantro and was crafted to go with Mexican food. Enjoy beer tasting as well as great menu items such as:

  • Black Pepper Beef Jerky
  • Salt and Vinegar Pork
  • Smoked Chipotle Potato Gems
  • Cuban Pulled Pork on Ciabatta

These are excellent foods that go well with craft beer.
